Helping People Walk Away from Domestic Violence - One Step at a Time
On September 11th, I am going to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, to raise money to help women, children and men walk away from domestic violence.
The funds raised provide domestic violence prevention and recovery programs to people right here in the Edmonton region. To give you an idea of the need, Edmonton Police receive somewhere around 22 domestic violence reports a day.
For those of you who don’t know, I sit on two committees at the YWCA Edmonton - the Philanthropy Committee and the Marketing Advisory Committee. The YWCA Edmonton is a wonderful organization, doing amazing things – when you donate, your money is going to the right places and being used effectively. If you’ve donated to this cause in the past, your donations have saved lives.
Thanks for visiting my page, your support means the world to me! :)
PS - if you’d like to read more about how your donation impacts lives, read through these:
